Representaciones sociales de la ciudadanía ambiental
Abstract
The aim of this paper is to present in an exploratory and descriptive way the main contributions of the theory of Social Representations of Serge Moscovici and Denisse Jodelet for the understanding of the exercise of environmental citizenship in the district of Villa el Salvador. The design of our study, for its purpose, is non-experimental; by its level, it is descriptive; by the nature of the data, it is qualitative; by the type of inference, it is inductive and analytical. The research approach has its epistemological support in symbolic interactionism and our object of analysis is environmental citizenship. In this sense, it is argued that the theory of social representations, to the extent that it is oriented to interpret a specific type of knowledge, that of common sense, is constituted as an innovative look to investigate the exercise of citizenship.
